An Israeli NGO on Tuesday published dramatic footage of an exchange of fire with Hamas terrorists in the heart of southern Gaza’s Khan Yunis.

The four-minute clip of the firefight, captured by the bodycam of Israel Defense Forces Capt. (res.) Kobi Cohen, was released by “The Israeli Reservists—Generation of Victory” with permission of the military.

According to “The Israeli Reservists,” the undated incident in southern Gaza involved soldiers of the 8219th Combat Engineering Battalion, the Paratroopers Brigade’s 101st Battalion and the Oketz K-9 Unit.

Seven IDF soldiers were said to have been wounded in the incident, while the forces managed to kill an equal number of Hamas terrorists.

IDF Maj. (res.) Gilad Ach, the organization’s chairman, stated, “The dedication of the reservists serves as a sign and example for all.”

“We call on policymakers to continue in this spirit of the fighters, to work to achieve a clear victory in both the north and the south to ensure that the sacrifice of Israeli soldiers for the Jewish people will bring safety and security to Israelis for generations to come,” Ach added.

Israel Defense Forces ground troops entered Gaza on Oct. 27, 2023, following weeks of airstrikes in response to the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attacks, in which terrorists murdered some 1,200 people, wounded thousands more, and abducted more than 250 people to Gaza.

Jerusalem’s stated war goals for the Gaza Strip are to destroy Hamas as a military and governing force in the enclave, ensure that it cannot threaten Israel again and return the 101 hostages it still holds.
