In a thinly veiled Memorial Day message to Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett vows that Israel will reach even those “1,000 kilometers to the east.”
The terror organization also said Israel “bears responsibility” for disconnecting Al-Aqsa’s mosque loudspeakers on the eve of Memorial Day.
In a Memorial Day speech at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, Israeli President Isaac Herzog noted that “even today, our enemies rise up against us to destroy us with hateful terror.”
The effort is a catalyst for national and local celebratory programs that express solidarity and support for the Jewish state.

“Just as memorial ceremonies can be held in Haifa or any other Israeli city, they will be in Miami and New York, too. These families gave their children, and we have to hug them wherever they live,” said Efrat Shefa Dor, manager of the Tiberias District for Bereaved Families.
Some cities will hold silent laser displays in the sky instead.
In a phone call, “the two leaders discussed the importance of open and ongoing dialogue for the maintenance of calm and stability in the whole region, especially in present times.”
