The new professorship will ensure JTS students “graduate with an appreciation for the complexity and richness of the American Jewish experience,” the chancellor of JTS said.
“If you don’t have the best schools, you don’t have the best teachers,” said Richard Sandler, executive vice president of the foundation.
Adolescents with weaker Jewish backgrounds were found to express more sympathy for the Hamas terror group.
Researchers hope to better understand why the American kids in the study had lower fine-motor skills and higher rates of error than the Israelis.
“It was always wrong to cut Jewish kids off from getting disability benefits solely because they want to follow their faith,” said Eric Rassbach, vice president and senior counsel at Becket Law.
“You have to build the kids’ ability to be proud of who they are,” said Hana Dorsman, CEO of UnitEd. “At the end of the day, that is the strongest answer to antisemitism.”
