IDF soldier moderately wounded in ramming attack; suspect shot dead

An Israeli soldier was wounded on Thursday in a suspected terrorist attack near Hebron.

The suspected terrorist drove his vehicle at high speed towards Israel Defense Forces’ soldiers stationed at a military post near the town of Negohot, hitting one before being shot and killed by one of the soldiers, according to the IDF.

Magen David Adom paramedics received an emergency call around 2:43 p.m. and treated the wounded soldier on the scene, before transferring him to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva.

The assailant, a 19-year-old area resident, reportedly left behind a note, according to Ynet.

The attack took place near the Al-Fawar refugee camp in the Hebron area, where a Palestinian teenager was killed on Wednesday during clashes with Israeli security forces.
