(March 31, 2022, New York, N.Y., JNS Wire) Jewish National Fund-USA (JNF-USA) is excited to announce that the 70th Annual Israel Folk Dance Festival and Festival of the Arts will take place Sunday, April 3, at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College, 524 West 59th Street, New York.
The festival, which will run from 12:30-2:30 pm, features generations of dancers and musicians from across the United States, South America, and Israel. Together, they share the diverse styles and moods of music and dance that make up Israel’s evolving folk culture, in an exciting and uplifting stage production.
JNF-USA Presidential Advisor Bob Levine said: “Dance is an important part of Israel’s rich cultural tapestry, and the Folk Dance Festival is an incredible look into the beauty of Israeli dance that can be enjoyed by the whole family. JNF-USA is proud to partner with the Israeli Dance Institute, and we hope that people from all backgrounds will appreciate the Festival and its dancers for their breathtaking skill and unique cultural significance.”
The Israel Folk Dance Festival and Festival of the Arts is a project of the Israeli Dance Institute in partnership with Jewish National Fund-USA with the support of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, The New York Board of Rabbis, and the Harkness Foundation for Dance.
Tickets are $20 general entry, with $15 tickets available for students, seniors, and groups of 15 or more. They can be purchased online at https://israelidanceinstitute.org. Attendees are required to show proof of vaccination and wear masks.
