Israel strikes Hamas targets in Gaza after explosive balloons cause damage

Some of the targets hit by Israel are believed to be tied to Hamas’s Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the terrorist organization’s armed division.

Israeli jets reportedly struck numerous Hamas posts in the southern Gaza late on Wednesday in response to a small bomb that was attached to a bundle of balloons that flew from Gaza into Israel, damaging the front window of a home in the Eshkol area a few hours earlier.

No casualties have been reported.

Some of the targets hit by Israel are believed to be tied to Hamas’s Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the terrorist organization’s armed division.

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the retaliation.
