American Jewish University (AJU) is singularly focused on the future of Jewish life. A thriving center of Jewish resources and talent, AJU inspires and educates the next generation of educators, professionals, rabbis and lay leaders, while creating innovative pathways for living Jewishly.
The first initiative of AJU’s 2050 Institute features conversations with leaders, creators and thinkers from a range of fields.
The May 19 gala at Stephen Wise Temple raised more than $1.6 million and concluded a three-day series of AJU events.
Rabbi Cheryl Peretz, who has served for more than 25 years, brings deep experience and commitment to Jewish learning and leadership.
Hamerman brings more than 25 years of experience in fundraising strategy and relationship-building.
New role focuses on applying organizational culture expertise to reimagine Jewish life for the next generation.
“After years of leadership and teaching, being asked to help shape a major expansion is both meaningful and energizing,” he said.
“Her ability to transform systems, strengthen teams and amplify mission will play a defining role as we reimagine what AJU can be for the next generation,” said Jay Sanderson, president of American Jewish University.
Participants can share their visions in 60-second videos for a chance to win cash prizes and gain recognition as AJU Jewish Future Fellows.
